Christmas Tree & Wreath

Did you know that Nova Scotia's Lunenburg County is considered the "Christmas Tree Capital of the World”? How incredible is that! The tradition began in the early 20th century with local farmers shipping trees to the US. Today, Nova Scotia's Christmas tree industry thrives, with over 350,000 balsam fir trees sold annually and shipped across North America. The province also has a unique tradition of donating a Christmas tree to Boston each year, a gesture of gratitude for their assistance after the Halifax Explosion in 1917.
