BIG EX NEWS!
The Big Ex Announces a replacement pull for the International Horse Pull.
The South Shore Exhibition is very excited to announce the replacement for the recently cancelled International Horse Pull. The LaHave River Credit Union Maritime Horse Pull will take place on Thursday, July 25 in the same time slot allotted for the International Horse Pull. The International Horse Pull was cancelled by the Cumberland, Maine Fair early this spring due to lack of funding.
Upon hearing of the cancellation, LaHave River Credit Union jumped into action and became Double Platinum Sponsors of the Exhibition to assist in replacing the International Pull with a High Stakes Horse Pull for our Maritime Teamsters.
The LaHave River Credit Union Maritime Horse Pull will consist of the 8 top Maritime teams from the Tuesday night Qualifying Pull. The pull will be a 3 ft. hook-on, stay-on, pull with a total prize purse of $4,400!
Teams are expected from New Brunswick, PEI and throughout Nova Scotia. Come see horse pulling at its finest, as teams pull for one the largest single prize payouts ever in a horse pull competition at the Big Ex!

KIRA ISABELLA
Kira Isabella is a young hot rising star in Country Music since she has released her first Debut Album "Love Me Like hat", She is currently on tour with Terri Clarke and recently completed a tour with Carrie Underwood.
Last year she won the CCMA Rising Star Award and has just received her first Juno Nomination for Break Through Artist.
Her newest single "Songs about You" is currently #5 on the Top Country Charts and her single " A Little More Work" also climbed to the top 20.

CHAD BROWNLEE
Nominated for Male Country Artist of the Year at the CCMA's in 2012 Chad s one of Canada's hottest male country performers. Songs like Carried Away, Smoke in the Rain, Hood of my Car & Day After You, are just some of the songs off his 2010 debut album.
In 2011 Chad won the CCMA Rising Star Award and this year he has a Juno Nomination for his latest album "Love Me or Leave Me"
Chad's newest single "Crash" released in February, 2013 is climbing the country charts now along with his new release "Leave Here Dying Young" which was written as a tribute to his Dad. DERBY DRIVERS…IT’S TIME TO START THINKING ABOUT YOUR CARS! NEW TO THIS YEAR IS THE INTRODUCTION OF THE LADIES “POWDER PUFF RUN.” TO HAVE THIS CLASS WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST 6 LADIES REGISTERED. SO IF YOU WERE ONE OF THOSE LADIES WANTING TO GET OUT AND SMASH FOR CASH, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE.
THE POWDER PUFF CLASS IS A 4 CYLINDER CLASS ONLY, AND FOLLOWS THE SAME SET OF RULES AS THE REGULAR CLASSES.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE POWDER PUFF CLASS. IF WE DO NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF REGISTRATIONS THE CLASS WILL NOT BE RUN.
SO LADIES…GET YOUR CARS READY.
PRIZE MONEY WILL BE THE SAME AS THE MEN’S CLASSES $300 FOR FIRST, $200 FOR SECOND, AND $100 FOR THIRD. TROPHIES WILL BE GIVEN FOR CUTEST PAINT & LADIES PEOPLE’S CHOICE
