Bridgewater born Carroll Baker grew up in the small fishing village of Port Medway, Queens County. Along with her parents, Carroll moved to Ontario at the age of 16. In 1969 Carroll was at a bar in Oakville, it was there that Carroll was invited to sing, although she was underage and very nervous she performed “Stand by your Man” In 1972 Carroll went to Nashville to record her first album, that recording became her first top 10 record, “Ten Little Fingers”. After 40 years in the music industry Carroll has decided to embark on her “Thanks for the Memories Tour” and we are pleased to have Carroll Baker perform at the Exhibition on Friday, July 31st, 2009.
